Therefore, they started to get concern on their health and demand for anti-dust products are keep increasing. Therefore, relative air purifier or anti-dust product companies should looking for business opportunities in the South Korean market. A company who provides air pollution information called, AirVisual announced that South Korea ranked as the world’s most polluted countries. As AirVisual noted, compared to last year, the Korean Peninsula has been blanketed with a huge dust storm generated from the Gobi Desert in Mongolia and smog from its neighboring country more often; therefore, it’s been hard to have perfect days for picnic. Due to the air quality, many medias and newspapers had been warning of dust storm and smog can cause health risks, so the demand for anti-dust items is tremendously growing. According to Korean Institute of Architectural Sustainable Environment and Building Systems in 2016’s report, South Korean market for air purifiers reached US$894.2 million and is expected to grow about US$1.1 billion in this year. E-mart, one of the biggest hyper markets in Korea, announced sales of air purifiers rose by 86% in March 2017 and will expect to grow more. Due to the high demand for air purifiers, European and Asian countries’ company started to enter the Korean air purifier market and compete with products made in Korea. In addition, besides the high demand of air purifiers, vacuum cleaners, dust-proof bed lines and curtains, dust masks; KF80 and KF94 masks (KF80 filtering out 80% of 0.6microns and KF94 indicates filtering out smaller than 0.4 microns in diameter), filtering 10 micrometer sizes of particles, are also high demand for South Korean.
